Crimsafe® passes a lot of Australian and Industry Standards tests. They mean you can trust Crimsafe because the product range as a whole passes more tests than any competing product range.
There are two types of standards: the Australian Standards, laid down by Standards Australia www.standards.com.au and Industry Standards, which are commonly accepted tests within the security screen industry that have not been given official status by Standards Australia.
Australian Standard AS 5039-2008 Security Screen Door and Security Window Grilles is the main product standard, and it calls up AS 5041-2003 Methods of Test - Security Screen Doors and Window Grilles, which specifies the following tests:
Crimsafe also scores highly on the Industry Standards Tests:
Recently, Crimsafe had the University of New South Wales' School of Aerospace and Civil and Mechanical Engineering at the Australian Defence Force Academy design a rigorous scientific test to determine exactly how much force Crimsafe screens can resist before breaking. We also tested stainless steel security screens bought directly from 9 leading competitors.
Here's a graph of how all the screens performed in comparison to each other on the Dynamic Impact Test.
